Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix make use of magical effects incorporating live lightning effects created by HVFX. The production team chose HVFX to bring a new level of physical realism and energy to the magical effects for the dramatically climactic fight scene between Aldous Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort.
We worked with the in-house SFX team at Leavseden Studios to create specially adapted lightning-conduting prop wands. The effects for the crucial duel scene were then shot against a reference backdrop and incorporated into the final fight scene in post production. |

Snow Patrol came to HVFX to create the amazing lightning effects seen in the video to their best-selling single, You're All That I Have.
We worked with the producers from the outset to design the physical effects and high voltage props that are seen in the video. Every electrical effect for the video was created for real in reference form, and then composited onto the carefully designed set in post production. |
Print promotional material for the sell-out Theatre Of Science series at the Soho Theatre was produced using live tesla coil based lightning effects supplied by HVFX.
To accompany the effects provided for the show, we conducted a separate publicity photo shoot, producing the image used on all the promotional material for the show. The same images were featured (through PA images) in a number of national newspapers.
